The club often has over 60 dogs & handlers present on a Sunday morning, so the dogs are offered plenty of opportunity to learn socially acceptable behaviour.

We offer a range of training classes to cater for all ages & breeds.

Puppy socialising starts from as young as 10 weeks to 6 months (ideally).  We also cater for older dogs that have undergone trauma or are very nervous and will not be able to cope with a normal class situation. As puppies grow up so quickly, we try to offer a continuous intake, so as to offer plenty of interaction with similar aged dogs & progress to basic obedience training.

Our level 1 Obedience class is the first level of structured training with a 12 – 13 week term.
We concentrate on developing acceptable behaviour within the basic requirements for training the dog.
This ranges from teaching the dog to heel, to having the dog sit on command – learn the recall – and various other commands. The emphasis is on demonstrating to, and assisting the handler to pass on the commands & ensuring she/he gets the required responses.

Level 2 Obedience is a further 13 week course which builds on basic obedience with a higher standard of heelwork — extended stay & down, prompt recalls & improved interaction with your pet.

Level 3 & 4 Obedience. This is where you will enjoy & understand your dog’s special canine abilities. They learn to work with you off lead. Respond to commands at a distance -- retrieve (your morning newspaper) and undertake scenting exercises. Here you can build a lifelong rapport with your best friend.
